SOFTWARE INSTALLATION SERVICES

Dove Tree capabilities include installing and configuring software on the customer’s server and its clients. We can also configure the customer’s workstation PC’s and peripheral devices (e.g., printers and scanners). The Dove Tree team coordinates with customer IT personnel to ensure proper network connectivity and to resolve any configuration issues that arise during the implementation, testing, and troubleshooting process.

Equipment Automation – If a customer’s project involves automated material handling equipment, such as a carousel, Dove Tree can configure the communication interface between PC’s and mechanical equipment. The Dove Tree technical team is also accustomed to working with the third-party field service personnel assigned to install and/or maintain such equipment.

Project Management – Dove Tree capabilities also include project management. If customer resources are unavailable or stretched thin, Dove Tree can fill the void with its own professionals who are experienced at planning and coordinating system installations and conversions.

TRAINING SERVICES
Staff Orientation – Depending on the software purchased, customers may find it helpful to receive a pre-installation orientation. Interested customers should contact a member of the Dove Tree training team to discuss this option.

  Staff Training – The typical and most effective way to train operators and supervisors is to bring a member of the Dove Tree training team to the customer’s facility. Instructional topics include system configuration, using the software in daily operations, resolving operator and data errors, and performing specific functions—e.g.,
reports, queries, browsing tables, etc. Supervisors are separately instructed on various administrative functions, such as system monitoring, user registration, startup files, data loading, software updating, data backup and purging operations, and special reporting.

REFRESHER TRAINING SERVICES
Providing periodic refresher training can help maintain high user proficiency levels for greater productivity and fewer errors. Customers are encouraged to provide this training at least annually to keep supervisory personnel familiar with infrequently used administrative functions, and to sustain the knowledge of customer team members responsible for training others. Dove Tree trainers can conduct refresher training onsite at the customer’s facility or, depending on the software package and subject matter, online over the internet.

ADDITIONAL BENEFIT OF ANNUAL SITE VISITS
As business processes change, so do system requirements. Over time, the accumulation of unsatisfied new requirements can eventually necessitate a full system conversion, which is expensive and disruptive. However, there may be a lower cost alternative.

While visiting a customer’s facility to conduct refresher training, Dove Tree’s technical team can also help determine whether a simple software modification can address changing needs and extend the useful life of the software.

WEB-BASED TRAINING CAPABILITY
In certain instances, it can be desirable to conduct online training over the internet using virtual classroom or video conferencing capabilities. Using a web-based screen-sharing application, Dove Tree can deliver person-to-person training while jointly navigating and viewing user displays during the training session.
